Every two years, Alberta Gaming & Liquor (AGLC) allocates a charitable casino shift to registered non-profits. SHCA's turn is August 9 and 10, 2026 at Cowboys Casino. Proceeds from our two-day shift become the majority of SHCA's operating budget for the next two years, Neighbour Day, Cleanup, programs, rink maintenance, this website, all of it. We need 38 volunteers to fill the roster across both days.

AGLC Volunteer Form
After signing up, if you have signed up for one of these positions, General Manager, Banker, Cashier, or Countroom Supervisor, you are required to fill out the AGLC Volunteer Form. Please complete and email the form to gordvogt@gmail.com. Two weeks before the casino we will reach out to confirm your availability. AGLC rules mean we must submit the volunteer roster in advance.
No experience necessary
Our paid Casino Advisors provide all the training at the start of each shift. Please arrive on time. You don't need any gaming experience. The casino provides the chip tables, gaming floor orientation, and a staff contact for the whole shift.
You earned it
